The WFQHA World Show Has Fast Become "The World's Greatest Show On Earth!"

The WFQHA World Show has something for everyone… 3 youth divisions, 2 amateur divisions, 1 seniors division and 2 open divisions!! Every year, WFQHA Foundation Quarter Horses are "Making History Happen", are yours? Come join the "Traditions of Family, Friends & Foundation Quarter Horses" at the 8th annual 2007 World Show to be held once again in Columbia, MO at the Midway Expo Center, September 20-25, 2007.

WFQHA Excels At Bringing Members & Their Ideas Together

As a young organization, the WFQHA has explored in uncharted territory as a non-profit Foundation Quarter Horse association. The WFQHA brings together members and their ideas from across the North American continent. One of the many goals is for WFQHA horse owners and exhibitors to feel that the World Show event brings them the value and credibility they are looking for as they utilize the outcome to help better market their breeding and/or training programs for the upcoming years. For some of the members, it's about stepping up to the challenge and for the satisfaction it provides in comparing their horsemanship abilities to others within their respective division. No matter what the reason for attending the WFQHA World Show, members always feel relaxed in a family atmosphere. Every year the WFQHA looks forward to seeing everyone and would like to thank each and every one of you for all the support, inspiration and positive sportsmanship shown between WFQHA members, sponsors, exhibitors and volunteers!!!

"World Show Quik Facts"

No pre-qualifying points are necessary to compete at the 2007 WFQHA World Show. Horse owner and exhibitor must be current 2007 WFQHA members. WFQHA rules apply. Dress code for exhibitors is simple - western, just as you are when gatherin' cattle in the pasture. Many folks are also delighted about the tack involved when showcasing their Foundation Quarter Horses - western ranch tack. No glitz or glamour, just good using functional western tack that they use everyday at their farm, ranch or stable. Check out the WFQHA Online Rulebook for complete details.

It's a show like no other… the WFQHA offers 3 youth divisions for 5-8, 9-13 and 14-18 year olds. Seniors, age 50 & over have a division of their own. In these four divisions, any exhibitor may show any WFQHA registered horse that is owned by any WFQHA member. That's not all, there are also two Amateur divisions. WFQHA registered horses in the Amateur division must be family owned and compete against horses of their own age brackets. Horses compete in either Jr horses, 5 and under or as Sr horses 6 and over. Every year, WFQHA members also look forward to the two Open divisions. Any WFQHA member with any WFQHA registered horse may compete in the Open divisions. Age brackets for the Open divisions are Jr horses, 5 and under and Sr horses 6 and over with the exclusion of youth may not handle and/or exhibitor stallions.

WFQHA registered horses have an opportunity to earn "World Champion" titles, rosette ribbons, two sets of points and awards in approximately 150 classes. There are even a set of Futurity classes with an 80/20 payback per Futurity class. Throughout the World Show, exhibitors in the eight divisions will compete for High Point, Reserve High Point, All Around and Reserve All Around awards. These top honors will be announced at the awards ceremony. The World Show week is truly a wonderful atmosphere where WFQHA Foundation Quarter Horse Breeders, Competitors and Enthusiasts come together because of these multi-talented equine athletes. Everyone goes home knowing they are part of the WFQHA Family!!

Remember, mark your vacation calendars now for Sept 20-25, 2007…this is definitely the premiere Foundation Quarter Horse event of the year that you don't want to miss!! The WFQHA has focused the World Show dates around the weekend, once again, so it is more convenient for WFQHA members' work and school schedules. We look forward to seeing you there!!!
